Over the next week we’ll be offering as much live coverage as the Adhisthana bandwidth allows from the 2016 Women’s International Order Convention. Talks, mantras, podcasts, pictures, and videos, here on The Buddhist Centre Online.

Around 170 dharmacharinis from around the world have gathered here this evening for the convention, which opened with an introduction from Parami and a dedication ceremony in the shrine marquee. On Tuesday 23rd February, Nandavajra, an ordained member of the Triratna Buddhist order, is visiting Reading. He has kindly offered to join our regular Tuesday night meeting to give us his views on Mindfulness meditation practice.

It would be wonderful if you could join us to meet Nandavajra. Cake will be available!

Sunday Gatherings — Our regular Sunday program includes meditation followed by a variety of engaging activities such as puja, Dharma talks, themed discussions and sutra exploration. Altruism through local beautification: the grand Dharma litter-pick!

After a dedication ritual at the Centre, we’ll go to Ponderosa Park for a few hours of mindful litter-picking. Materials will be provided by Council, including gloves. Please dress appropriately for changeable weather, and bring drink/ snacks/ lunch.

Led by Amoghavamsa with support from Karaniya Metta Kula.
