Our First Original eBook: A Buddhist Cancer Memoir by Suvarnaprabha (Suvanna Cullen)

From Buddhist Centre Features on Fri, 17 Oct, 2014 - 19:16Just over a year ago, our friend Suvarnaprabha passed away in the company of her friends from the San Francisco Buddhist Center. Some readers may recall our coverage of Suvarnaprabha’s last few months in which she generously shared much of her process of dying as a way to encourage people to meet their own mortality in the light of the Dharma.

Suvarnaprabha kept a great blog to document the ups and downs of...

Five Things About Evolution

From Windhorse Evolution on Fri, 17 Oct, 2014 - 11:31As part of our 100 Days of Ethical Giving Campaign, we want to reconnect with the whole of the Triratna sangha. You may have heard of Evolution before, but if you do not have one of our shops locally, you may be curious about what we actually do!

Evolution started in 1980 as a market stall. The aim – which continues today – was to raise money for the movement. We’ve put together a short...

Ordination, sanghahelg och småpyssel

From Dharmagiri Retreatcenter on Thu, 16 Oct, 2014 - 09:19Rapport från Dharmagiri (september 2014)

Som alla troligen minns hade vi en osedvanligt vacker och varm september i år. Ancient Royal Orchard newly founded in east London, UK

From Triratna News on Thu, 16 Oct, 2014 - 00:18Uddiyana was an ancient land famous for rich, fertile plains, soaring mountains and an abundance of natural environment and culture. Sounds a long way from the streets of Leytonstone, east London, UK? A long-established Triratna men’s community there has just adopted “Uddiyana” (Royal Orchard) as its new name.

As they explain, “Uddiyana was the mythical birthplace of Padmasambhava. He’s an important figure for our community, and has a central place on our shrine. Actually, though, our...
