The Triratna Video Library is back celebrating Sangharakshita’s 100th birth anniversary with another freshly edited never-before-seen talk by Bhante from the archive. The release for May is a talk entitled ‘The True Miracle’.

This talk was given to the Berlin Triratna (FWBO) sangha in 1999. Sangharakshita recounts a particular spectacular miracle performed by the Buddha known as the ‘yamaka pātihāriya’, after which the Buddha went on to explain what is actually the greatest of all miracles....

Twenty-one years ago, a book called Women, Men and Angels: An Inquiry into the Relative Spiritual Aptitudes of Men and Women was withdrawn from circulation and pulped. The reason was a number of people within the Triratna movement felt uncomfortable with the content of the book and its implication than women had less spiritual aptitude than men. At the time Ratnaguna commented:

‘We’ve just banned our first book.’

Then in 2017, at the height of the MeToo movement, its author, Subhuti, offered an apology, saying...
