A Passage to America - a new piece of writing by Sangharakshita

In this piece, written in March 2018, Sangharakshita recalls his first flight to America nearly fifty years ago, on his way to teach a term at Berkeley, with reflections set off by viewing the flight information screen above his window seat.

As part of the celebrations around the 50th anniversary of the Triratna Order, Windhorse Publications will release four new volumes of The Complete Works of Sangharakshita in early April.

The Complete Works include all previously published work by Sangharakshita, as well as talks, seminars and writings published for the first time. This collection represents the definitive edition of his life’s work as a Buddhist writer and teacher.

Thanks to the strength of Kalyana Mitrata (spiritual friendship) and gifts to FutureDharma Fund, Mitras in Venezuela are benefitting from a rich programme of retreats, including studying the System of Practice and Mitra study on ‘What is the Sangha?’, as well as talks on William Blake.

Aryavacin (Nottingham, UK), Manjusiha (Padmaloka, UK), and Padmashalin (Valencia, Spain), have flown to Merida, Venezuela to lead retreats for the Sangha there who are not able to afford to travel to go on retreat.

Sunday, April 1, 9.30am-12pm 

This Sunday, April 1st, we will be sending Bettye Pruitt off for her 3-month ordination retreat in the mountains of Spain. All are welcome to join us for meditation, a celebratory puja, and rejoicing in Bettye’s many merits. Viriyalila will be leading with support by the women’s Mitra study group.
