Tuesday Online Meditation Series - Living Divinely: The Brahma Viharas

Join the online meditators sangha for a four-week series of meditations on the Brahma Viharas, or divine abodes. In these meditations we will cultivate various “flavors” of positive emotion including loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita), and equanimity (upeksha).

Meditation sessions are held at 2:30pm ET / 7:30pm UK on Google+ Hangout. See the links below for each week’s event. Some experience of basic mindfulness and metta practices is helpful, but not necessary.

I am very sorry to inform you that we have just heard of the death of Dharmachari Prabhasvara in Brighton, UK. We do not yet know of the circumstances of his death, but will let you know when we have more information.

Prabhasvara was ordained in 2004. His private preceptor was Tejananda, and his public preceptor was Surata. His yidam was Vajrasattva.

Dear Friends,

Chandramsu has written to me as his Public Preceptor to resign from the Order. Moksananda - Chandramsu’s Private Preceptor - has spoken with Chandramsu about his decision. Together, both of us have accepted Chandramsu’s resignation and I have written to Chandramsu wishing him well.

Chandramsu is from Queretaro City, Mexico, and was ordained in June 2003 at Guhyaloka. His resignation letter can be read below.
