From Portsmouth Buddhist Center on Thu, 14 Nov, 2013 - 16:52We filled the shrine room to capacity last night for Maryellen’s mitra ceremony. Surrounded by good friends, family, and members of the local sangha, we started with a Loving Kindness meditation to lead into a Seven-fold Puja led by Suddhayu. The ceremony was simple - just three offerings of candle, incense and flower - but hugely significant in marking a deeper commitment to practicing the Buddhism within the context of the Triratna Buddhist Community.
