In October they set about redeveloping and refurbishing their Buddhist Centre, starting with a fundraising project - the “Buddha Blitz” - which closed after little more than a month, having raised AUD 31000 (GBP 16,824/USD 26,510/EUR 21,215) – more than half of this on the first day!

Triratana and Mindfulness in the UK parliament

From Triratna News on Thu, 27 Nov, 2014 - 00:57Over the last two years around 120 members of the UK Parliament - in the House of Commons and House of Lords - have taken mindfulness courses. Some are also exploring how mindfulness can affect British society as a whole. They’ve formed an All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) devoted to mindfulness, which has been holding meetings throughout this autumn. Several people from Triratna are involved.

Saddhanandi leaves in early December to take up her new responsibilities at Adhisthana, in nearby Herefordshire. Samantabhadri will hold the position for two years while Taraloka awaits the arrival of a new, long-term Chair.
