Mandalas: Mythic and Personal

From Bristol Buddhist Centre on Mon, 15 Jan, 2018 - 00:00
At the start of our year at Bristol Buddhist Centre on the system of practice, Karunavapi talks of Mandalas as patterns of the unenlightened and enlightened mind. 'Personal mandalas' as the patterning of our own, unenlightened minds and the Five Buddha Mandala as the pattern of the Buddha's enlightened mind. To appreciate the qualities of the Buddha, we can see them like light through a prism splitting into the colours of the five Buddhas of the Mandala.

Il est temps de vous donner les bonnes nouvelles concernant notre projet d’acheter un nouveau Centre bouddhiste pour Triratna Paris.

Living Divinely: The Brahma Viharas

From Online Meditators on Wed, 10 Jan, 2018 - 17:15

We’re wrapping up the last segment of a four-week series of Tuesday meditations on the Brahma Viharas, or “divine abodes”. In these meditations we’ve cultivated various aspects of positive emotion - including loving-kindness (metta), compassion (karuna), sympathetic joy (mudita), and equanimity (upeksha).

Join the online sangha Tuesday, 23rd January at 2:30pm ET / 7:30pm UK on Google Hangouts as we explore the final week’s Brahma Vihara, equanimity (upeksha).

Time change for monthly meditation

From metta for merida on Fri, 12 Jan, 2018 - 17:01

Time change for monthly meditation

From metta for merida on Fri, 12 Jan, 2018 - 17:01

We are changing the monthly meditations to the last Saturday of every month at 3pm Venezuela time. That is currently 7pm UK time. This coincides with our regulars class at the Mérida Buddhist Centre

The next meditation will be on Sat 27th Jan 2018

We had to make this change because the change from UK summer time meant the meditation at Venezuelan time was at a time that few people could go.
