This morning there were 50-60 of the Bristol Sangha online again to hear the second part of Tejanada’s teaching on the ‘Dynamic Mandala’, a somatic exploration of the Triratna System of Practice.  ‘Somatic’ is the term used to highlight the alive/vibrational aspect of awareness.

Today’s focus is on positive emotion.  Tejananda encouraged us each to find where ‘a sense of ease’ may be located in our bodies, as a starting point for this practice.  It may not...

Death of Dhammachari Manjuvira

Dear Order members,

It is sad to inform you that Dhammachari Manjuvira (Wardha) passed away. In the morning he found unconscious in his bathroom and admitted to the hospital. He was 65 years old, he was ordained in December 1985. His private preceptor was Subhuti and public ordination was given by Dhammachari Kamalashila.

He was a very senior Order member and joined the Sangha in very early days and has given contribution to build the Sangha in Aurangabad and Maharashtra. Recently he did his Sangharam retreat...

We are delighted to announce that Itir Binay from Melbourne, Australia was publicly ordained in Melbourne on Saturday 28th March, 2020.

Ex-Itir becomes Varadhī. Her name means ”She who has the highest wisdom”. (Westernised spelling: Varadhi). Her Public Preceptor is Maitripala and her Private Preceptor is Chittaprabha.

The ceremony was witnessed by over 100 members of the Melbourne Sangha live on Zoom. You can watch a recording of the ceremony here which ends with a beautiful wave of sadhus around the world.

Vajragupta introduced an exploration into embracing uncertainty in these times by introducing the figure Amoghasiddhi (who bestows fearlessness and courage) and in exploring ways to be with fear, enabling it to dissipate. The talk was followed with a led meditation.
