The White Lotus Sutra - nothing to do with the TV series! - is perhaps the most influential of all Mahayana Buddhist texts. Sangharakshita has described it as the closest thing to a Buddhist Bible - because of its importance, although in every other way it is nothing like the Christian Bible. In this series we will be exploring its profound teachings, presented through a combination of poetry, drama, parables and what can seem like cosmic science fiction, and the way these have the potential to free us to take our practice of the Dharma to a new level.
