The Buddhism and Science seminar at Adhisthana last November included a number of presentations around the topic of Buddhist and scientific angles on subjective experience. 

Vaddhaka, now based in Cambridge, has a background in economics and industrial relations, and also has a special interest in understanding human consciousness more deeply. His presentation was an excellent survey of both philosophical and scientific angles on consciousness, including what happens to our minds after we die.

Dear Order Members,

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Dhammachari Abhayadhamma, who died on 31 December 2025 at 2:45 am at his son’s residence. He was born on 1 July 1941.

Approximately seven months ago, he was diagnosed with cancer. At that stage, the illness was incurable, and he remained on medication until his death. At the time he passed away, both of his sons were present with him. He was originally from Chandurbazar, Amravati.
