Sangha morning starts at 10.30am and involves chanting the refuges and precepts, meditation, tea break and a Dharma Talk. This Saturday will see our very special guests introduce their new book ‘Eight Step Recovery’ and there will be the opportunity for book signing. Terry from our group recently floated the concept of ‘The Elevator Pitch’ past me; a pithy encapsulation of one’s mission statement so economical that it can be delivered between floors of a building whilst riding the lift with the CEO.

Padmasambhava Mantra (Live at the ECA)

A strong chanting of the Padmasambhava Mantra from the first Triratna European Chairs Assembly of the new year (2014). The chant is led by Nayaka from Dhanakosa Retreat Centre in the Scottish Highlands.

Padmasambhava is the great guru of Tibet, the founder of the different traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.

Avalokitesvara is the Bodhisattva of compassion, and his thousand-armed form is the symbol for the Triratna Buddhist Order at work in the world.

In brief:
All UK mitras and members of the Triratna Buddhist Order working with schools and other young people under 18 should either make sure they are DBS (security) checked by the Triratna Buddhist Centre they represent, or by their nearest Triratna Buddhist Centre, or make sure the school knows they are not DBS checked and that they require never to be left alone...

What's happening in the Highlands?

From Triratna Highlands on Wed, 8 Jan, 2014 - 14:49We’ve got a centre in Inverness. Inumerable hassles with the property company and its minions that we’re renting from, but hey, who said it was going to be easy? If they did they were wrong…..

Last August we had Belladrum festival - small (15,000) music festival 15 miles from Inverness. We’ve been there for 7 of the 10 years it’s been running.

The first year we tried to get all the different buddhist groups around Inverness to join...
