UK Buddhist chaplaincy training course starts soon

Kalyana Mitra: The Buddhist Chaplaincy Support Group is a UK Buddhist initiative offering training in chaplaincy work for Buddhists of all traditions. Their next training course starts on 12th April and runs for seven Sundays until 1st November, in London and Birmingham. See below for information.

Tony Murray Jones was publicly ordained at the London Buddhist Centre on 8th March.

He becomes Shraddhajit: ’He who is victorious through faith’.

His name, in romanised Sanskrit, is spelt Sraddhajit (acute accent on the first ‘s’ and a dash over the second ‘a’).

Private preceptor Jnanavaca; public preceptor Maitreyabandhu.

Saturday, April 11th | 3pm – 7pm

On Saturday, April 11th the Aryaloka and Portsmouth Buddhist Center sanghas will join together to celebrate the 48th birthday of the Triratna Buddhist Community. The festivities will begin at 3pm with selection video shorts highlighting Triratna activities around the world. A meditation and celebratory puja will follow at 4pm. We’ll conclude with a pot luck dinner at 5:30pm. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share.
