I don’t often give rave reviews but today I’m going to …………
On Thursday night we have a guest – A member of the Buddhist order I belong to coming along to join us. He will lead the sit and talk to us afterwards for a bit.
Ratnavyuha worked with us at the Sydney Buddhist Centre for a number of years before going to serve the Auckland Buddhist Centre where he still remains.
Ratvavyuha is an extraordinarily capable human being and an extraordinarily beautiful one. My...
On 8 March 2015 at the London Buddhist Centre in England, Shraddhajit was ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order by Public Preceptor Maitreyabandhu.
Sadly we report the death of Aloka David Smith from cancer in Birmingham on 31st July. He was 69. His funeral is on Thursday 13th August. (See below.)
Vessantara writes: “Aloka David Smith’s connection with Triratna began in 1997, when he wrote to Sangharakshita enclosing a manuscript he had written, an account of how his insight had unfolded during twenty years of Dharma practice.
Sangharakshita recognised in him ‘a kindred spirit’, and felt that his account of his Dharma experiences was ‘a treasure’. Sangharakshita felt...
Our FBA Dharmabyte today is called “Misapprehensions and Misunderstandings”. What if all of our emotional and spiritual problems were caused by an incorrect understanding of our true nature? Vajrapriya explores the Buddha’s insight that our commonsense assumptions about ourselves are the source of our suffering.

There are just under three weeks until Sangharakshita’s 90th birthday on Tuesday 26th August, on which we’d like to give him the money for the one thing he really wants – the publication of his Complete Works, online and on paper, for everyone, for ever. We just need another £34,000; not much between the thousands of people in Triratna worldwide! Please give whatever you can and invite your study groups, GFR groups and chapters to join in.
Our FBA Dharmabyte today drops us into the realm of ritual with “No Labels in Reality”. One of the dominant themes in The Diamond Sutra is animitta samadhi, no-thing is supported by any other thing, there is no gift, no giver, no receiver.
Excerpted from “The Diamond Sutra”, a gem of a talk by Abhaya. With his customary dry wit and sharp eye he leads us on the crazy paving path through the Diamond Sutra...
We still have £34,000 to go before we reach our target gift of £100,000 for Bhante’s Complete Works, online and on paper, for everyone, for ever. Please help!
