Many thanks to Samantabhadri and Shraddhabha for creating this beautiful shrine to Bhante at the Shrewsbury Centre. And much gratitude to Vajradevi for co-ordinating our 3 day vigil last week and the ongoing daily chanting for Bhante that has followed it. The atmosphere at the Centre has been tender and full of love.

We had a beautiful Puja on Tuesday 30th October, shared food followed by a Celtic Puja on Saturday 3rd November where many people shared their memories of Bhante, and a Bodhicitta Puja in honour of his work and life on Sunday 4th November.

Thank you Bhante

Thank you for being a bridge between the timeless ways and truths of the Orient and the ‘enlightened’ capability of the modern day ‘west’. For elucidating the Dharma in terms of human potential for all, in languages that we hear, speak, and respond to. But not only the exposition, which may have been the easier task, but bringing to life in the hearts and souls of the Order, movement, and beyond, truth, love and freedom, the essence of the Dharma. So that people have been able to hold and debate potentially extremely divisive issues, in, as a friend described, ‘a beautiful way’.
