Dear Friends and companions,

I write with a sad heart to let you know that Sihapada died peacefully last night, Wednesday 20th September. Her son and daughter-in-law were with her. I had seen her earlier in the day and made my farewells. She was comfortable but unresponsive and I felt she was a long way away. She has been gracious and patient in her dying process and very well cared for.
