Death of Gunapala

Gunapala passed away peacefully at home in Alves, near Elgin in the Scottish Highlands, on Monday 23rd June, aged 70. His wife, Maitrihridaya, was by his side.

Gunapala was born on 16th November 1954 in Otorohanga, New Zealand. He first met Bhante in Auckland in 1975, aged 20, and soon joined the first men’s community there.
