Buddhist Recovery Network on New Zealand Radio
The Buddhist Recovery Network is a worldwide network of people and groups dedicated to supporting the use of Buddhist teachings, traditions and practices to help people recover from the suffering caused by addictive behaviors. Their New Zealand rep, Navachitta, a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order and teacher at Triratna’s Auckland Buddhist Centre, recently appeared on Radio New Zealand’s ‘Spiritual Outlook’ programme. Natalie Grace writes with the details, saying:

“Many very successful addiction recovery programmes begin from a foundation in faith or spirituality. This can, however, prove to be a barrier for non-believers. Navachitta, in dialogue with producer Justin Gregory, explores an alternative option: recovering from addiction with help from the Buddha”.
