Talk given in English with Spanish translation by Bodhikamala. | Charla impartida en inglés con traducción al español por Bodhikamala.
In this deeply reflective talk, Jnanadhara delves further into Vasubandhu’s Four Factors essential for the awakening of the Bodhi heart, focussing particularly on each of the factors in relation to the others. In doing so, he emphasizes that Enlightenment is possible, reminding us that the Buddha's journey began like ours. Jnanadhara also highlights the collective importance of the four factors in order for the Bodhichitta to manifest, urging introspection on their presence in our Dharma life.
Within the context of the Triratna Buddhist Order, Jnanadhara also shares his transformative experience of meeting Sangharakshita while still in his early years as a Buddhist. He underscores the power of seeing beyond one's self-perceived limits, urging us to be present with those in suffering. And concludes by suggesting that we can always find inspiration in the virtues of our spiritual friends and peers when the qualities of Buddhas feel distant.
Recorded at Abadía Benedictina de Nuestra Señora de los Ángeles, Ahuatepec, Mexico, October 2023.
