You may already have guessed which eBook we’re giving away this week. Given that the last two have been What is the Sangha? and Who is the Buddha? it may come as no surprise that we’re completing Sangharakshita’s trilogy with What is the Dharma?
If you’ve enjoyed reading Sangharakshita’s books about the three jewels, you might be interested to know that they are also available in print, as Volume 3 of The Complete Works of Sangharakshita, The Three Jewels II.
If you haven’t yet downloaded last week’s free eBook, you’ve still got time. Who is the Buddha? will remain free until September 28th.
Download both free eBooks here.
When we began our Free the Dharma campaign in March we had no idea it would still be running six months later. Over that time we’ve given away a total of twenty-eight eBooks, including meditation guides such as Wildmind by Bodhipaksa, books on Buddhist ethics such as Mind in Harmony by Subhuti, commentaries such as The Inconceivable Emancipation by Sangharakshita, books on engaged Buddhism, such as Saving the Earth by Ākuppa, life manuals such as Sailing the Worldly Winds by Vajragupta, and introductions to the archetypal realm, such as A Guide to the Bodhisattvas by Vessantara.
Although we’re not ending Free the Dharma, we are going to be moving it into a new phase. From now on, we’ll be offering a free eBook every two or three weeks instead of weekly. While most of the team were on furlough it was good to be able to have something to share with you every week. But now that we’re all back at work and have restarted production, we’re thrilled to be releasing not just one, but three new books in the next few weeks. The first two are by Bhikkhu Anālayo: Introducing Mindfulness, an accessible beginner’s guide, and Mindfulness in Early Buddhism, an invaluable resource for experienced practitioners. The third is It’s Not Out There by Danapriya, a practical guide to making the most of your life. Click on the titles to find out more and pre-order your copy.
We’ll be featuring each of our new books in upcoming blog posts. Watch this space!
