Mindful Emotion Reviews Are Positive

Dr. Paramabandhu Groves has been busy touring UK and Ireland Triratna Buddhist Centres from Brighton to Glasgow to Dublin. He has been giving talks and leading meditations in kindness. Windhorse Publications published his book, co-authored with psychologist Dr. Jed Shamel, Mindful Emotion: A Short Course in Kindness in March this year. So far, reviews have been glowing.

Sarah Bargiela reports in the Journal of Mental Health:

"In sum, a heartfelt, thoughtful guide to self-awareness that builds on the existing mindfulness literature and is easily adapted for use both in personal and therapeutic settings."

Paul Wielgus reviews it for The Western Buddhist Review

"As the creators claim, this is a course that draws on techniques from positive psychology and ‘third wave’ therapies (for example, compassion-focused therapy), as well as taking inspiration from the Buddhist tradition; but Kindness Behaviour Training (KBT) is also a course that anyone can understand, participate in and gain benefit from."

An accessible website introduces the concepts introduced and explored in the book around Kindness Behaviour Training.
