Sudarshanaloka Retreat Centre seeks new community member
Sudarshanaloka is a Triratna Buddhist Community Retreat Centre set in a remote valley high above Thames, on the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. It's famous for its beautiful stupa that provides an inspiring focus for the whole site. And they're seeking someone to join their community and team and contribute to the momentum of creating a more active retreat centre. Padmadasi writes - "It is not a cushy lifestyle at Sudarshanaloka but we have a beautiful environment, warmer weather than the UK and a small but committed Sangha. In April we have the ordination of our first completely home grown Order Member. Some one who enjoys the Buddhafield lifestyle would probably be at home here. Please see below for details of the post."

JOB VACANCY & LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY
Live, work, practice & play at Sudarshanaloka Retreat Center

Our center is developing a yearly retreat programme and the work load is slowly increasing. We offer our community members a modest weekly live-in package consisting of free board, free food and $50, so you would most likely need to have some savings or some other kind of support. Living at Sudarshanaloka is a fulltime lifestyle. The property is covered in native NZ forest, nestled between hills, rivers and sea. You would have your own separate accommodation in a small cabin alongside 2 resident GFR mitras with shared facilities.

Skills that we need include: administration, housekeeping, cooking, team building and project management.
We are looking for someone who has a dharmic perspective and who would be willing to make Sudarshanaloka the focus of their life for an agreed period of time.
