Avalokitesvara weeps for the sufferings of the world and from his tears Tara is born.

This retreat will have the mythic theme of Green Tara, who has one hand extended in a gesture of infinite giving, and with one leg steps down into the world to go to the aid of living beings.

She is also much associated in our minds with the green of nature .

On this retreat we will look at the question of what Buddhism means in the 21st century and what a Buddhist response to the realities of the 21st century might look like .

There will be plenty of space  for peacefully just being in nature, fires under the stars etc as well as meditation, discussion and  ritual.
