These teachings may be applied to all addictions, money, food, alcohol, drugs, sex and much more. Humans have an inbuilt tendency towards addiction, and the Buddhist teachings can be applied to help bring about sobriety of mind, self compassion and abstinence.
This day retreat will be composed of opportunities for reflection and meditation with guidance and a talk about recovery by Vimalasara. There will also be some direct pointing helping people to see through the illusion craving and ill will which can often be the cause of the addictive cycle.

This retreat will offer some simple meditative tools, and an understanding of addiction that will hopefully help us go back out into the world better equipped to deal with the triggers that can onset a slip or a relapse.
Suitable for non Buddhists as well as Buddhists. For people with addictions, in recovery, or people who have grown up in addictive households, or have friends or relatives struggling with addictions.
