Online Live Streamed Weekend for men who have asked for ordination and Order members.
During the course of the public ordination ceremony into the Triratna Buddhist Order, the public preceptor anoints the person being ordained with water from a special vase - the vase of initiation. This vase can be said to symbolise the entire meaning of going for refuge and ordination. In the course of this weekend for men training for ordination, Padmavajra will explore in detail the symbolism of the vase of initiation and it's meaning for all of us.
As well as Padmavajra's talk, there will be a Q & A with Aloka, the artist who has painted the iconography in the Padmaloka shrine room - this will be a rare opportunity to hear him speak about Ordination and the Mythic Context.
There will also be discussion groups led by ordination team members, meditation and puja. It promises to be a rich and inspiring weekend.
