For the Sangha festival this year, the Nottingham Sangha will be connecting with our brothers and sisters in the Indian Sangha for a joint celebration (all are welcome to join us). Triratna is a global movement, with a large part of our Sangha living in India, so this is a really wonderful opportunity to meet with some of them, sharing our practice and offering solidarity for the important Dharma work that is being done there.

There will be ritual, including the refuges and precepts in both languages and Vidyavardhini (co-ordinator of the Young Buddhist project in India) will be interviewed by Kusaladevi on the theme of friendship through good times and bad. There will also be a chance to connect more personally in breakout groups, as well as two dharma talks from Mitras.

We welcome people from other Sanghas to join us for this special event.

We’re sure it will be inspiring to connect with the Sangha in India and to see how much unites us. It’s also a great chance to do something to support the Young Buddhist project in India; we’ll be fundraising on this event towards financially supporting Vidyavardhini in her role co-ordinating the Indian Young Buddhists Project.

All Welcome!
