Dear Order Members

I am very sad to inform you of the death of Dhammacharini Shakyanandi (Nagpur). She passed away yesterday 9th February 2022 around 1.30pm at the age of 73. She was unwell for the last few days and hospitalized for high sugar. A funeral ceremony has taken place yesterday at 6.00 PM from her home in Nagpur.

In June 2013, Devamitra toured several Triratna centres, including the LBC, giving talks in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the immolation in Saigon of Thich Quang Duc – better known as ‘the burning monk’. On hearing this story, Alex Estrella felt strongly that it needed to be told on film.

Dear members of the Order,

Our beloved sangha sister, Dharmacharini Chandradarshana died peacefully this morning, 9th February, at her home in Solihull, near Birmingham UK. Her yidam is White Tara. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

Her two Kalyana Mitras, Bodhaniya and Bodhinita have been visiting regularly these past few weeks, chanting the White Tara mantra, the Shakyamuni mantra and the precepts.

Chandradarshana was ordained by Shantavajri (publicly and privately) only two weeks before her death. Her Sanskrit name...
