It was good to be on retreat with some of you this weekend just past. Our theme was ‘The Brahma Viharas’ also know as the sublime abodes and they are all aspects of what Buddhists know as metta or kindness.  

When unconditional kindness meets suffering it expresses as compassion, when that same kindness meets good fortune it expresses as sympathetic joy and meeting all situations it has a non discriminating friendliness and well wishing.

Cardiff Buddhist Centre are running a range of workshops at the BAM Sangha night and one of the workshops is on vegetariansim and veganism. We know some people come along and struggle to give up meat and fish and we wanted to have a resource which clearly describes the facts about eating meat, fish and dairy products and the impact this has on the beings we consume and the environment we inhabit.
