Chetrul Sangye Dorje 
June 18, 1913 - December 31, 2015

Dear Order members,

Some of you may already know that Sangharakshita’s last living teacher has died. Here is a link to some information and talks about him on The Buddhist Centre Online.

As far as we know he died peacefully, aged 102, in his monastery in Nepal. Yesterday Suvajra re-read to Bhante his own poem to his teacher, which we copy below.

Dear Order members,

I am sad to inform you that Dhammachari Prasannachitta passed away this afternoon.

He was in an accident this morning around 5:00 a.m. while he was going for his morning walk. Due to major brain injury he passed away this afternoon. The funeral will take place tomorrow around 1:00 p.m. from his home.

Prasannachitta was 70 years old and lived in Wardha, India. He was very active member...
