Inspired by Sangharakshita’s teaching of A Case of Dysentery, we see our main role as offering the infrastructure to help Order members to help each other.

We are now looking for one or two more Order members to become Trustees to help oversee and develop the work of the Trust at an exciting time in our...

Establishing the Dharmacharya

From Padmaloka Retreat Centre on Mon, 24 Oct, 2022 - 00:00
What is the history of the Dharmachari Ordination in the Triratna Buddhist Order? What are the other various 'chariyas' in Buddhist tradition? And most importantly, how do we establish and deepen the Dharmacharya; the life lived in and through the Buddha's teaching? Perhaps in doing so, we'll eventually be able to discover for ourselves the profound truth of the Buddha's Enlightenment. In this talk, Padmavajra shares his experience, reflections, and insights into the nature of ordination and how to deepen and establish the Dharma Life. In doing so, he evokes the vision of what that life might look like and what it might lead to. The talk was given during the Autumn Going for Refuge Weekend at Padmaloka in 2022
