Taranita explores the nature of symbols, and why they may be useful to us. In Buddhism, we make good use of symbols, not least in the form of mantra sound symbols. Taranita discusses the Heart Sutra as dharani, and the Prajnaparamita mantra within the Heart Sutra. The talk concludes with a discussion of the symbols associated with Amitabha.
