Lights in the Sky have just released a new film celebrating 50 years of the Triratna Buddhist Order, which was founded in London on the 7 April 1968. ‘The Life of the Order’ contains archive footage and interviews with Order Members and gives a rounded picture of the era out of which the Order emerged.
The film is a 45 minute compilation of the main themes of the four-part History of the FWBO series.
From the 10th to the 13th May 2018 the Dutch and the Belgian Sanghas are holding an Order-Mitra Convention at the Dutch retreat centre Metta Vihara, to which they have invited some Mitras from the Hungarian gypsy community. The Convention will be held in English and any Mitra or Order Member are welcome to attend. He talks about how to take responsibility for our own actions, considers how to feel gratitude, looks at how to develop positive emotion and explores how to turn adversity into opportunity. Devamitra also discusses how a diagnosis of cancer has given him the opportunity to live life on the edge and put events into a wider perspective.
