Triratna’s European Chairs meet at Adhisthana

In their second meeting this year, members of Triratna’s European Chairs’ Assembly (ECA) are spending the week at Adhisthana. We are around 45 women and men: leaders of Triratna urban centres, retreat centres and other enterprises, the Development Team they employ and some guests.

We bring you interviews or reports from the meeting, over on our Features space.

Hear Parina from the Netherlands explain what the ECA does (6 minutes).

Besides playing volleyball every evening after supper (see picture) they've had a packed programme of presentations and discussions covering such matters as:

  • how and what we teach
  • our own practice as Order members
  • the culture of Triratna centres and
  • the Young Buddhist project.

One of the most enjoyable elements in every meeting is the presentations from individual centres, showing how distinct they are whilst manifesting in various ways what makes them all distinctively Triratna. Tonight we heard from Amogharatna (Berlin, Germany) and Arthavadin (Manchester, UK).
