Following our piece yesterday - reposted to various Facebook sites and viewed by thousands of people - she writes from London to thank you for your donations for their earthquake relief work.
"Thank you to all who have responded with financial support and with kindness. Particular thanks to Triratna's Karuna Trust, for their donation of GBP 5,000.
Tremors are still happening. People are living outside and cannot yet go back into buildings or travel.
Our staff are doing what they can in the streets around them. They are sleeping in makeshift tents. One midwife health promoter is at the hospital helping with emergencies. We are as yet unable to get out to our field site.
In the meantime, I have been keeping some of my Nepalese friends company through the long night in a tent via Facebook. Isn't the internet marvellous?"
