Sangha Day Festival - Celebrating 50 Years of Croydon Buddhist Centre

Each year we celebrate sangha - the community of Buddhists who have lived out the teachings, keeping them alive from the time of the Buddha, through the centuries to us today.

This year is an extra special celebration: it is 50 years since Triratna Buddhist activities first started in Croydon. We have four very special guests who were around in the early days. Nagabodhi, Sanghadeva and Vijayasri will be reminiscing about the Buddhist Centre in the 80's and 90's. Vessantara (who was around in the 70's) will be giving an inspirational talk - not to be missed!

In addition there will be chanting and puja (ritual) and shared food. A chance to celebrate the sangha of today, but also remember with gratitude those whose shoulders we are standing on!
