On July 7th we'll be starting a new six week series of meditations based on the Anuruddha Sutta and the Buddha's description of how the qualities of a Dharma farer relate to the practices they engage in - especially in meditation itself.
This Dhamma is for one who is modest, not for one who is self-aggrandizing. This Dhamma is for one who is content, not for one who is discontent. This Dhamma is for one who is reclusive, not for one who is entangled. This Dhamma is for one whose persistence is aroused, not for one who is lazy. This Dhamma is for one whose mindfulness is established, not for one whose mindfulness is confused. This Dhamma is for one whose mind is centered, not for one whose mind is uncentered. This Dhamma is for one endowed with discernment, not for whose discernment is weak. This Dhamma is for one who enjoys non-objectification, who delights in non-objectification, not for one who enjoys & delights in objectification.
How to connect
We currently use Google Hangout on our Google + page. Join our circles there to make sure you get an invitation - then look for the event posting there each week. We'll be online 10 minutes before each session and we'll sit for about 40 minutes, with an introduction an space for optional discussion afterwards.
Join us Tuesdays at 2.30pm EST/ 7.30pm UK and Fridays at 11am EST / 4pm UK via our Google + page. Click ‘hangouts’ in the event posting on our page each week.
NB. Tuesday meditations are primarily for those who know the two main practices we focus on. Fridays are drop-in meditations (beginners welcome!).
