The West London Buddhist Centre is recruiting. We are looking for a part-time centre manager and a part-time book keeper. Hours are negotiable with the possibility of flexible working, including some time working from home. We are looking for Order Members or Mitras training for ordination to join our small, dedicated team.
The book keeper role is for a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 18 hours a week and could be carried out remotely. Please see the attached job description for more details about the role.
The Centre Manager role is for a minimum of 21 and a maximum of 28 hours per week. The Centre Manager will hold a key role in helping to deliver the vision of the WLBC (see attached vision document) through their own work and through managing and coordinating the work of the employed centre team and volunteers. They will hold overall responsibility for all the day-to-day aspects of running the centre and keeping an overview of events and activities. Although there are some fixed duties, the final job description is negotiable depending on the hours worked and the skills, experience and particular interests of anyone applying for the role.
The WLBC is situated in a vibrant, multicultural area in central London with excellent transport links. We are a friendly, diverse and committed sangha and this is an exciting time, with opportunities to contribute to the centre both spiritually and creatively. Our core teaching team is currently Bodhilila (Chair), Paramananda, Ratnadeva, Sudurjaya, Maitripushpa, Tarakarunya and Amlanadhi.
Salaries will be £20,111 per annum pro rata (at the level of the London Living Wage which increases annually with the cost of living). An annual retreat/training allowance of £1,700 and eight weeks leave are also available on a pro rata basis. Pension and Simply Health insurance contributions are included.
