Opportunity to join the Manchester Buddhist Centre team
Dana Project Leader: 17.5 hours per week
Manchester Buddhist Centre is rapidly changing and developing in line with a clear and exciting vision. Located in the heart of the city we are home to a positive and rapidly growing sangha.
Participation and sharing responsibility for the MBC and each other are central to our ethos. The MBC was built by volunteers and members of our sangha continue to give generously in terms of time, money and skills for the benefit of all.
We are now seeking an experienced and enthusiastic member of the Triratna sangha to help us further develop and embed this ethos of generosity into a deep and pervasive culture of dana.
If you share our progressive vision, have the necessary experience and skills and are excited at the prospect of working alongside others in an inspired, friendly and harmonious Team Based Right Livelihood then this could be the opportunity for you!
What we offer
- Pay: £7.20 per hour (£7.50 from April 2017)
- Annual leave: 32 days + 8 b/h pro rata
- £1800 p.a. retreat allowance pro rata
- 3 days team retreat (in addition to the above)
- Health Sure scheme to cover some health care costs such as dentist, optician, acupuncture, osteopathy.
As a member of the 'Heart Kula' you will join the Chair, Mitra Convenors and members of the centre team at our weekly Wednesday morning gatherings where we share our lives and engage in collective practice of the Dharma.
