Hi all!

We would love to welcome an Order member or mitra to join our queer-friendly community of four at Kalyanaloka later this year! We are three mitras training for ordination and our community life is built on a foundation of friendship and commitment to the three jewels. We have regular community time and meditate together in our dedicated shrine room.

Our rejoicings in Kalyanaloka include the transformative effect of living alongside other Buddhists. It’s like living and breathing the Dharma as much as possible in an urban context! We can trust in our shared values and wish to create a supportive environment, be witnessed in our growth, and have fun! Community life brings the mundane into the magical mandala of the spiritual life.

Our house is 5 mins from Bristol Buddhist Centre, near the vibrant Gloucester Road, and has easy access to public transport. Rent and bills are £580 pcm and we are a vegetarian/vegan household. If you are curious about joining our community, we would love to hear from you at hemcconnell@gmail.com!
