here's the second in a series of video talks from the 2013 Buddhafield Festival - a thoughtful talk by Shantigarbha exploring the notion of 'The Empathic Buddha'. He asks "How did the Buddha embody empathy? How did he make it the basis of compassion?". Shantigarbha is a leading teacher of NVC and recounts a number of incidents from the life of the Buddha, shares his understanding of empathy in a Buddhist context, and - crucially - explores how empathy is the basis for both compassion and ethics.
