Personal Safety Training

Under TBMSG Nagpur Trust our staff of Bahujan Hitay Project and Women Social Project including Girls hostel attend a recent training on Personal Safety Training to get understanding on Child Abuse and prevention including psychological help. This training is very useful to the staff while running project.

We express our thanks to Karuna Trust, UK who funded to those projects to help to improve the life of the needy people in the society. Participants attended from various part of India.

Celebration of Bhante's Birth Day

We are pleased to celebrate the Birth Day of Bhante Urgyen Sangharakshita at Bahujan Hitay Educational Empowerment Project funded by Karuna Trust. All the children were from verious Slums of Nagpur from our project named LEARNING CLUB. This project given an opportunity to the underprivileged children.

All the beneficiaries were very amazed to hear about Bhante's contribution to this modern world. Thank you Bhante !!!

New Learning Club opening

We have opened new Learning Club at Bhadant Kaushallyananagar at Pilinadi Nagpur in collaboration with Babasaheb Ambedkar National Association of Engineers (BANAE) for poor children. In this class they get an opportunity to continue education without paying fees in professional classes which their parents cannot bear. Participants  were so happy and full of enthusiasm in this programme. This new LC is given name as Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Learning Club, Nagpur.

The children's parent are cycle rikshaw puller, daily wages worker, cart puller who even don't think to provide education to their children. This class mean a lot for them.

New Programme Manager's Visit from UK

Bahujan Hitay Nagpur's beneficiaries and staff enjoyed the visit of new programme manager from Karuna Trust, UK named Akashamitra at Gorewada in our Boys hostel where underprivillaged are getting opportunity to shape for their bright future.
On this ocassion we planted 2 fruits trees at hostel. Welcome programme and dinner together with team. All the children enjoyed a lot being with Akashamitra.

Today we have celebrated farewell of the students of hostel including a parent meet; guided by Tejadhamma  on precautions & responce to teen age children in vacassion at home. All the student from 5 to 9 standard completed there session of 2013 - 2014. They have completed annual exam of the school and left for home with their parent. This event was very emotional ! While leaving hostel, student were having tears, expressed their gratitude towards hostel team & staff.

Visit of pilgrims at our hostel project

It is our pleasure to share that the pilgrims from Canada, UK, USA and Japan visited to our BH boys hostel at Gorewada, Nagpur. They all were very happy & enjoyed to see and meet children. All the children of the hostel project were so happy to see overseas guests and to share them. On this ocassion our student played Tabala to welcome guests.

Karuna Trustee's visit held on 10th Dec. 2013 at Adarshnagar slum of Nagpur. Bahujan Hitay Educational Empowerment Project is running Self Help Group in this slum for the daily labour worker who are underprivillaged & poor. Those are also addicted alcoholism and don't have enough to share for the educational development of their children. This SHG is helping them to develop the habit of saving funds for their children's education. This is a pilot project which is successfully run under the guidance of Tejadhamma (Project Manager) and implemented by Ratnodaya. Tejadhamma and Ratnodaya are presenting the impact of this project to the trustees in presence of stakeholders.

Karuna trustees visited early in the morning at 7.30 a.m. which is unusual time because this is the only time when the beneficiaries are available at 7 to 9 a.m. and thenafter they go to find their work. BHEEP express their thanks to the trustees to visit their project which helped them to feel encouraged. Adrashnagar slums people also happy to see them all. Vajrapushpa, Samayashri, Shantipala, Mahaprabha & Padmadaka were present at this event.

Child Right Workshop for Parent

Child Rights workshop is organized for the parent of the Bahujan Hitay Boys Hostel, Nagpur which led by Mr. Vinayak Nandeshwar ( Project Coordinator (Urban Child Right Inisiative in Nagpur) in presence of Tejadhamma (Project Manager-/BHEEP) , Ratnoday, Trimaraj Gedam and Milind Patil. This Workshop was fully interactive and parent understood the rights which would helpful to the hostel children when they go back to home in the vacassion.

Parent Meet at Hostel Project

Bahujan Hitay Boys Hostel Gorewada, Nagpur organised Parent Meeting on the eve of Pola Festival Celebration on which parent heavily drink and do domestic violence. We had follow up session of last parent meet regarding "serious effect of Alcoholism" as a matter of moral practises "hostel to home" ; sothat the hostel's beneficiaries will get external condition at home after they go back. Through the hostel project's Social , Moral, Cultural and Artistic development activities BH work to uplift the moral values in the student's life which will have strong impact to become  a responsible civillian, through such educational parent meet, the student can follow the practise in their village level life.
Dr. Nitesh Parvatkar led another session of "Alcoholic habbit against responsibility of family" which was excellent session. Parent opened up themselves and commited to not to drink who has habbit and the parent who don't take wine; would help others to 'give up wine drinking' in their villages.
In the beggining of the day; Hostel Working Team met each parent to share the progress, strength and weakness of their children, presented drawings and creativity of the student which was exciting and happy experience to the parent. In this meet 32 parent were present and enjoyed the event. Dh. Ratnoday was master of ceremony, preface of the programme by Timraj Gedam, Vote of thanks by Tejadhamma. Milind Patil took hard efforts to organise this event.

We are glad to inform you that the beneficiairies of the Bahujan Hitay Boys Hostel, Gorewada, Nagpur funded by Karuna;  enjoyed the interaction program with 10 Taiwan student of Hsuan Chuang University with Assistant Professor Cheng Wei-Yi (Dept. of Religious Studies). The opportunity to interact with Foreigners was very exiciting to the students of the hostel who are poorest of the poor from the remote area of Nagpur. Those beneficiaries never have seen such dream to see people from other contries. All the boys happily welcomed and presented welcome song for those guest in group with Tabalaa instrument played by a hostel student.
Tejadhamma described the project and its development to the all Taiwan student while project visit and welcomed by Rose Flowers with his co-staff Milind Patil & Timraj Gedam including hostel students. Assistant Professor Cheng Wei-Yi expressed vote of thanks for running such important project to bring light in the life of the poor and needy student, further she said that you (B.H. Nagpur) are doing so much good work !
